Meet Kwame Alexander at the Library!  Winner of the 2015 John Newbery Award for most distinguished book for children, New York Times Bestselling author, poet and educator, Kwame will share excerpts from The Playbook, his latest work, inspired by notable athletes and role models such as Nelson Mandela, Serena Williams, LeBron James, Carli Lloyd, Steph Curry, and Michelle Obama.  He will be joined by San Francisco Human Rights Commission Director Sheryl Evans Davis. This perfectly-pitched event is for kids, teens and adults. 

There will be a book signing and sale post event.

These cultural events are free and open to the public.
