Summer Youth Volunteering Opportunities

Youth Engaged in LIbrary Leadership (YELL): This volunteer opportunity will be offered at select locations: Anza, Chinatown, Excelsior, Parkside, Richmond, and West Portal. The Teen Librarian will be working closely with a small group of teens interested in working on a project over the summer to benefit their community and gain valuable 21st century skills.

Who can apply? Rising 10th- 12th graders

When is the application due? Now through April 30th. Interviews will be held in May.

Summer Squad: This is an excellent opportunity for youth to get involved in registering Summer Striders, assisting with programs, and accepting raffle tickets.

Who can apply? Rising 8th -12th graders

When is the application due? Applications are accepted beginning May 1st and continuing until Summer Squad reaches capacity.
