San Francisco – San Francisco – In celebration of June Pride month, the Eureka Valley/Harvey Milk Memorial Branch of the San Francisco Public Library presents an educational program focusing on adoption choices for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. The lecture and discussion will take place at the branch, located at 3555 16th Street (near Market), on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 7:00p.m.

Kaija Langley of Family Builders by Adoption, Aimee Fisher of Our Family Coalition and Family Builders gay and lesbian couples will be among the panelists attending to discuss adoption options, and provide personal experiences, support and resources for those interested in learning more about adoption. “June is a great month for us to provide the community with helpful hints for and successful examples of GLBT adoptions,” said Karen Sundheim, library manager, Eureka Valley/Harvey Milk Memorial Branch.

The adoption lecture and discussion is one of the many events taking place at the San Francisco Public Library honoring the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. Currently, Unfurling Pride, an exhibit celebrating the 25th anniversary of Gilbert Baker’s rainbow flag, is being showcased at the James C. Hormel Center, 3rd floor of the San Francisco Public Library, 100 Larkin Street, San Francisco.
