ERIC CARLE Headlines Library Lecture
Internationally acclaimed author visits the Library during his national book tour for “Mr. Seahorse” What:
The San Francisco Public Library in cooperation with the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library proudly welcome Eric Carle,
author of such classics as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Rooster Who Set Out to See the World and Do You Want to be My Friend?.

Mr. Carle stops at the San Francisco Public Library to discuss his new book Mr. Seahorse
and the new Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art which recently opened in Amherst, MA. Eric Carle is the 2003 recipient
of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal which is awarded every two years to an author or illustrator whose books, published in
the U.S., have made a substantial contribution to literature for children.
