I was so excited to be given the opportunity to change a damaged book into art. I found it very sad that books were vandalized. I believe in intellectual freedom and feel that by contributing to this project, I have helped save a book and have conveyed the message that vandalism will not stop our thirst for knowledge. I let the words on the pages dictate the direction to take with this book. As it turned out my message is that reading can change your life.
