Reversing Vandalism

Initially I made a collage on a narrow strip of paper—I wanted to make a Möbius strip as a symbol of continuous knowledge and learning despite the vandalism. But instead I attached it to a board and did a painting on and around the collaged elements. I responded directly to the meaning and shape of the book remnants, as well as the color and value of the pieces.
