What I am offering is the book I received in its second incarnation, a small bottle made from the cellophane book jacket filled with the ashes from the burnt book cover. In its first incarnation this book posed a threat because it offered information. In its second incarnation, which follows the intention of the vandal, it is still a threat. It still tells a story about the realities of being queer in this country. And, as surely as ashes sting, it can still be used as a weapon.
