City Guides China Boy Walking Tours

North of the Panhandle – This tour explores the neighborhood described in Gus Lee’s book, China Boy, San Francisco’s first selection for One City One Book. We’ll walk the streets where Kai Ting spent his days and see how this part of San Francisco continues to change architecturally and ethnically, when we walk by mansions, Victorian houses, and small businesses in this modest neighborhood.
Sunday 10/2, 10/9, 10/23 at 1 p.m. Estimated tour length: 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Meet in front of the McKinley Statue at the eastern end of the Panhandle, Baker and Fell St.

Also check out the following related City Guides tours:
Chinatown – Explore exotic Chinatown. Walk through alleys and side streets, the home to temples, family and alumni associations, tongs, and herbalists. Visit a marketplace and see fortune cookies being made.
Mondays at 1:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 10 a.m. Estimated tour length: 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Meet in Portsmouth Square (Washington & Kearny), upper level at the flagpole near the elevators.
