In an effort to expand library hours and services throughout the city, the San Francisco Public Library has added new hours—and new open days—at eight branch libraries in the Bayview, Ingleside, Merced, Mission Bay, Ocean View, Park, Portola, Visitacion Valley neighborhoods and will add Sundays at the Western Addition Branch when it reopens.
The new hours reflects the Library’s commitment to ensuring that every San Francisco community has optimal access to library services and resources. The nine locations were selected based on a study identifying which geographic areas would most benefit from additional library service.
New Extended Hours:
Branches open Sundays, 1–5 p.m., Starting Oct. 21:

Western Addition Branch will be open on Sundays, 1–5 p.m.,
providing service seven days a week when it reopens in early 2008.
