Branch Library Improvement Program RENOVATION - EXCELSIOR BRANCH |
The Excelsior Branch is the first of nineteen branch library renovations, along with the construction of five new branches, funded through the Branch Library Improvement Program, approved by voters in 2000. Excelsior library highlights include:
Thanks to the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library and a generous outpouring of community support, the Excelsior Branch’s interior has also been completely revitalized with all new furniture and new computers with access to the internet and library online resources. The Friends continues to raise funds from private donations for the branch library. For information on the Excelsior neighborhood campaign, contact marian.ctaylor@friendssfpl.org. We urge you to stop by the branch at 4400 Mission Street and see the improvements for yourself. This is just the first of many wonderful library projects soon to be completed.
