"St. Patrick's lost all of its old neighbors to the headache ball and gained a new one, the brazen Marriott Hotel. Built in 1872 as a replacement for the old St. Patrick's shipped out to the Western Addition, the church survived the 1906 disaster, although it was gutted and lost a steeple never replaced."
