NOTICE OF MEETING
A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

The meeting will be called to order.
1. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES ACTION
Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve the Minutes of the regular Commission meeting of October 2, 2003.

2. CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT by City Librarian Susan Hildreth DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
The City Librarian will report on the following subjects: a October 28th Sacramento Prop. 14 Bond meeting report; Branch Library Improvement Program bookmobile purchase; a Tool Lending Center update; a Millennium update; and exhibits and programs.
3. 04/05 LIBRARY BUDGET WORKSHOP DISCUSSION
Presentation on and discussion of the Library’s FY2004/05 Budget

4. COMMISSION OFFICERS FOR 2004 ACTION
Presentation of and discussion of and possible action to delay any nominations or election of Library Commission officers for 2004.
5. LIBRARY HISTORY PLAQUES DISCUSSION
Presentation of and discussion a series of plaques chronicling the history of the San Francisco Public Library from its beginnings until the present and honoring those who made significant contributions to be located in the Larkin Street entrance of the Main Library.

6. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow the Friends the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of their current and proposed activities.)
7. LABOR UNION REPORT
(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
8. NEW BUSINESS
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
9. PUBLIC COMMENT
(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
