(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
This report will consist of reports on. the Dorothy Starr collection, information on the cost of 2nd notices, an
update on the ILS (Integrated Library System) negotiations, an update on strategic planning, notice of the CLA
(California Library Association) Annual Conference, West Portal and Golden Gate Valley Branch closures update, and
reports on exhibits and programming.

Presentation and discussion and possible action to approve office and book store leases with the Friends &
Foundation.

Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve a schedule of dates for the regular Commission
Meetings for 2003.

(This item is to allow the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of
their current and proposed activities.)
A report on current activities and a presentation honoring library staff members that assisted in the apprehension
of the book slasher.

(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s
purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
- NEW BUSINESS
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)

(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well
as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
