Discussion and possible action to support in concept a preliminary agreement with the San Francisco Redevelopment
Agency and to authorize the City Librarian, in consultation with the City Attorney's Office and the Director of
Property, to negotiate an agreement with the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency consistent with the outlined
terms for the development and acquisition of a Mission Bay Branch Library facility in a mixed-use condominium
senior housing project to be developed on Parcel N3a-1, which fronts on 4th Street between Berry Street and
Mission Creek Channel in Mission Bay.

AUTHORIZING THE SAN FRANCISCO CITY LIBRARIAN IN CONSULTATION WITH THE CITY ATTORNEY TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE SAN FRANCISCO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO DEFINE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BY WHICH THE MISSION BAY BRANCH
LIBRARY IS TO BE DEVELOPED.
WHEREAS, The San Francisco Public Library and the San Francisco Redevelopment
Agency have come to preliminary agreement concerning the terms and conditions by which the Mission Branch
Library will be developed, and
WHEREAS, These terms and conditions are set forth in a Mission Bay North Branch
Library Term Sheet Outline which describes responsibilities, rights, and obligations
which both parties assume to undertake in conjunction with the development of the
Mission Bay Branch Library, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the City Librarian is authorized, in consultation with the City Attorney's Office and the Director
of Property, to negotiate an agreement with the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency consistent with the terms
outlined subject to revisions in items two and six for the development and acquisition of a Mission Bay Branch
Library facility in a mixed-use condominium senior housing project to be developed on Parcel N3a-1, which fronts
on 4th Street between Berry Street and Mission Creek Channel in Mission Bay.
