Notice of Meeting

A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

Date: Thursday, September 19, 2002 Time: 4:00 PM Place: Koret Auditorium, Main Library, lower level

The meeting will be called to order.

  1. ACTIONAPPROVAL OF THE MINUTES

    Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve the Minutes of the regular Commission meeting of August 15, 2002.

  2. ACTIONMISSION BAY BRANCH DESIGN RECOMMENDATION

    Presentations by the design team and the peer review panel, discussion, and possible action to approve a design concept for the Mission Bay Branch Library.


  3. DISCUSSIONNEIGHBORHOOD HALL OF FAME

    Presentation on and discussion of a proposal that branch libraries role as keepers of neighborhood history be formalized with the creation of a Neighborhood Hall of Fame honoring those who have contributed significantly to the civic life of their neighborhood and the City.

  4. DISCUSSIONMAIN LIBRARY POST OCCUPANCY EVALUATION (POE) REPORT

    Presentation and discussion of an update report on POE related Main Library projects .

  5. ACTIONPURCHASE & SALE AGREEMENT- 190- 9TH STREET

    Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to endorse and recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve a proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement for 190 – Ninth Street as the location for the Library Support Services Center.

  6. DISCUSSIONBOND PROGRAM MANAGER’S REPORT

    (This is a discussion item to allow the Branch Library Bond Program Manager to report on recent bond program related activities and make announcements.)

    This report will consist of an informational presentation: none; regular reports: program budget and schedule; site acquisition, active projects; and upcoming community outreach; and special reports:

  7. PUBLIC COMMENT

    (This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
