A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

   APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
   
   Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve the Minutes of the regular Commission meeting of May 1, 2003.

   PORTOLA PURCHASE & SALE AGREEMENT
   
   Presentation of and discussion of a proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement for the new Portola Branch Library.

3. DISCUSSION
   CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT
   
   (This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
   
   The City Librarian will report on the following subjects: a 2003/04 Library Budget update report; 6/29/03 Main Library closure due to Gay Pride Parade; Urban Libraries Council project update; Cerritos Library information report; 03/04 Friends & Foundation grants to the Library; Fuhrman Fund signage; report on a redistribution program Certificate of Appreciation and thank you concert by Kundirana; and exhibits and programs.

   NEW WEBSITE DEMO
   
   Presentation on and discussion of the Library’s redesigned website.

   STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATE
   
   Presentation on and discussion of the ongoing strategic planning activities.

6. ACTION
   BLIP ADVISORY COMMITTEE REVISION
   
   Presentation of and discussion and possible action to reconstitute the BLIP Advisory Committee as a Committee created by and authorized to report to the Library Commission and to the Board of Supervisors concerning Branch Library Improvement Program issues.

7. DISCUSSION
   FRIENDS AND FOUNDATION REPORT
   
   (This item is to allow the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of their current and proposed activities.)

   LABOR UNION REPORT
   
   (This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s considerati on.)
   
   
9. NEW BUSINESS
   
   (This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
   
   
10. PUBLIC COMMENT
    
    (This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
