(This a discussion item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
This report will consist of a report on the Ingleside Branch opening, a report on branch closures, a Library
Budget update, a report on the neighborhood budget hearings, a report on the branch survey and community meetings,
a fine amnesty report, a Prop. 14 update, a report on the #19 Polk Muni stop, and information on the ALA Annual
Meeting.
- DISCUSSIONBRANCH LIBRARY BOND PROGRAM UPDATE
Presentation of, and discussion of an update on Prop. A (2000) Branch Library Construction and Improvements Bond
related activities.
- DISCUSSIONSUMMER READING PROGRAM
Presentation of, and discussion of, the Summer Reading Program.
- DISCUSSIONEBOOK UPDATE REPORT
Presentation of, and discussion of, an update report on recent developments regarding ebooks.
- DISCUSSIONEXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS REPORT
Presentation of, and discussion of, recent and upcoming exhibits and programs.
- DISCUSSIONFRIENDS AND FOUNDATION REPORT
(This item is to allow the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of
their current and proposed activities.)
- DISCUSSIONUNION REPORT
(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s
purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s future consideration.)
- DISCUSSIONNEW BUSINESS
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for future consideration.)
- DISCUSSIONPUBLIC COMMENT
(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as
well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s future consideration.)
