- DISCUSSIONCITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT

(This a discussion item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
This report will consist of a report on the effective date for the new fine and fee schedule, an update on the
status of the supplemental appropriation request for Main Library POE repairs, an overview of the Branch site
selection meetings, and a report on the Branch facilities plan outreach efforts.

Presentation and discussion of a proposal that the San Francisco Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board designate
the Carnegie branch libraries such as the Richmond, Mission, Noe Valley, Golden Gate Valley, Presidio, Sunset,
and Chinatown Branch Libraries as landmark structures.
- ACTIONLIBERARY FEE AMNESTY
Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve a Library Fee Amnesty in the period prior to
July 1, 2001 as authorized by the Board of Supervisors.

Presentation on, and discussion of recent FY 2001-2002 Library Budget activities by Library Finance Director
George Nichols.

(This item is to allow the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of
their current and proposed activities.)

(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s
purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s future consideration.)

(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for future consideration.)
- DISCUSSIONPUBLIC COMMENT
(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as
