A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

2. MAIN LIBRARY POE UPDATE REPORT
Presentation of and discussion of a status report on certain Main Library improvements recommended by the Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) Report.

3. CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT
by Acting City Librarian Paul Underwood
(This item is to allow the Acting City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
The Acting City Librarian will report on the following subjects: the new Library
Technology & Privacy Advisory Committee; the “Choosing to Participate” Exhibit;
National Library Week; senior library staff vacancies; California Library Legislative
Day activities; a visit to the Seattle Public Library; and exhibitions and programs.

4. LIBRARY WEEK & WORKERS DAY RESOLUTION
Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve a resolution honoring the annual observance of National Library Week during April 10-16, 2005 and calling attention to and commending the dedication, professionalism, creativity, and hard work of the staff of the San Francisco Public Library on National Library Workers Day observed on April 12, 2005.

5. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT
(This item is to allow the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of their current and proposed activities.)
- 6. LABOR UNION REPORT
(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
- 7. NEW BUSINESS
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
- ACTION8. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: Commission Secretary, Michael Housh
Closed Session. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 and San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.12(a) evaluation of the Commission Secretary, Michael Housh’s performance.
Open Session. Reconvene in open session and, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.12: motion and vote to whether to disclose any or all of the information discussed in the closed session evaluation of Commission Secretary, Michael Housh.
