A special meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

- DISCUSSIONINTERNET AND INTELLECTUAL FREEDOM PRESENTATION
Presentation on and discussion of issues related to intellectual freedom and Library patrons access to and use of
the Internet and Internet resources.
Explanatory documents: Internet filtering legal issues, an update on federal regulations regarding Internet use, and
an American Library Association (ALA) memo on Children’s Internet Protection.
- DISCUSSIONCHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVICES PLAN REPORT
Presentation of, and discussion of a report by the Department of Children, Youth, and their Families concerning its
2001 Children and Youth Services Plan.

- DISCUSSIONTOOL LENDING CENTER UPDATE REPORT
Presentation of, and discussion of a report on the activities of the Library’s Tool Lending Center since its
opening.

well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s future consideration.)
