--Resolution on Branch Library Improvement Program
(Discussion/Action): 6:30PM
"The LCAC recommends that SFPL adhere to the Branch
Library Improvement Program as developed in public
meetings and as reflected by the BLIP architectural
plans for each branch. The plans incorporate
technical, mechanical, ADA and seismic upgrades as
well as modest expansions to offset space lost to the
upgrades.
"The LCAC further recommends that SFPL staff fully
disclose to the communities that budget shortfalls are occurring, seek additional funding sources and consider extending project time periods.
"The LCAC further recommends that the General
Obligation Bond Oversight Committee review the BLIP
fiscal shortfall situation."
--Resolution on Every Child Ready to Read (Discussion/

"The LCAC strongly endorses the proposed Every Child
Ready to Read program and urges its deployment as
quickly as possible in Fiscal Year 2005-2006."

USAGE AT HEARINGS
Effective January 21, 2001, the Board of Supervisors
amended the Sunshine
Ordinance by adding the following provision: The
ringing of and use of cell phones, pagers and
similar sound-producing electronic
devices are prohibited at this meeting. Please be
advised that the Chair may order the
removal from the meeting room of any
person(s)responsible for the ringing
or use of a cell phone, pager, or other similar
sound-producing electronic devices (67A.1

City Hall, Room 278 is wheelchair accessible. The
closest accessible BART is Civic Center, three
blocks from City Hall. Accessible MUNI lines
serving this location are: #42 Downtown Loop,
and the #71 Haight/Noriega and the F Line to Market
and Van Ness and the Metro stations at Van Ness
and Market and at Civic Center. For more information

There is accessible parking near City Hall at
Civic Center Plaza and adjacent to Davies Hall
and the War Memorial. Large print
copies of the agenda will be made available on

illness to attend meetings, all are asked to refrain
from wearing perfume or other scented products.
