Collection Development Plan

Eureka Valley / Harvey Milk Memorial Branch

San Francisco Public Library branches collect materials that meet the needs of the branch community. Like all branch libraries, Eureka Valley / Harvey Milk Memorial Branch offers high interest books at adult, teen and children's reading levels. Basic collections of fiction, nonfiction and reference materials are available. Branches also offer a variety of magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, CDs and DVDs. Books not collected by a branch may be obtained through the library's request system, Link+, or interlibrary loan. Most of the library's large collection of electronic resources is accessible from all branch locations and online 24 hours a day at www.sfpl.org.

Eureka Valley / Harvey Milk Memorial Branch has an LGBT Interest collection that includes materials on the culture, history and life experience of the LGBT community: Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex people and other Sexual Minorities. Additional research materials are available in the James C. Hormel Gay & Lesbian Center at the Main Library.
