Tutor Tips
1.   Borrow a menu from a restaurant. Learn the names and spellings for foods you like to
      order.
2.   Check newspapers for free events taking place during the week.
3.   Memorize the lyrics of a favorite song. Write the lyrics (standard spelling is not necessary).
4.   Start a "Reading Strategies Sheet". List the things you need to remember, e.g. `g' has two
sounds. This may help when experiencing difficulty in reading a text.
5.   Prepare for a holiday by looking at stories about the holiday, traditional foods or
      decorations.
6.   Create a personal dictionary. Use a small notebook that can be easily carried with you.
7.   Write at least a one-sentence response to everything you read.
8.   Select a place to visit based on local tourist listings. Plan your route on a local map. Write
      out your route.
9.   Read about a place on want to visit. Write why you want to visit that particular place.
10. Read everyday. Read everyday. Read everyday.
