Remembering Charles Smith

Charles Smith

Charles Smith
(1945-2001)

Charles passed away recently after a long battle with several illnesses. He became his own advocate and used his tutoring sessions, the Project Read Lab, and other resources to make informed decisions about his medical treatment.
Charles was a vibrant, funny, hard working man, who took his education seriously. We find it hard to imagine that he won’t be bopping into the computer lab, trading quips with us, checking his Schwab investment account, sending e-mails, and getting the latest fishing reports.
Our thoughts are with his family, many friends, and Fran, who was his tutor and ally. Charles is much missed and will be long remembered.
