Cayenne or Red Pepper
by Elizabeth Hughes

cayenne peppers

It seems red pepper is one of God’s wonderful herbs. It should never be classified with black pepper, vinegar, or mustard which is irritating to any open wound but red pepper is very healing to an open wound, either in a fresh wound, or and old ulcer wound. Red pepper has no harmful reaction.
It also makes a good liniment when boiled gently for ten minutes, one tablespoonful of red pepper with one pint of cider vinegar. Rubbing alcohol maybe substituted for cider vinegar. This liniment is very healing to wounds such as bruises, sprains, scalds, burns, sunburns and should be applied freely.
Red pepper is effective as a poultice for rheumatism, inflammation, pleurisy. Red pepper is a stimulant when taken internally as well as being antispasmodic, It is a very effective remedy in yellow fever and other fevers and maybe taken in capsules with a glass of cold water. It is wonderful for lockjaw and will heal a sore stomach ulcer. It will also help the internal canal as the liver, the kidneys, the spleen, and the pancreas. It helps you when you are coughing, it relieves a toothache, it helps a sore throat and the most important thing it helps is the heart when taken in small doses. Red pepper is a very important herb and maybe should be taken by people more often.

The Image of a Child
Drawing a Picture
by Susana Razo

He is learning to build his confidence
and how to put his ideas into what he is drawing.

This child brings back wonderful memories
of my childhood.
This child is having fun expressing his fantasies
on the paper.

He is reflecting the simplicity and pureness
of being at an early stage,
at the starting point of a long journey
with lots of surprises, and endless dreams.
