Misinformed Children and the AIDS Crisis
by Susana Razo
I heard a program on the radio about AIDS and it was shocking. I want to share with you how amazed I was to learn that people, especially the young, are still very ignorant about the disease.
It is hard to believe that in Africa there are 25.5 million people with AIDS who are getting very little help from our government. No only that, but they also have a significant amount of tuberculosis cases. And we are sinking along with them with our misinformed children.
We need to help our children get informed by giving them prevention information in our homes and not just thinking that they will get it at school because sometimes they don’t.
We need to give time to our children to keep them informed. How can we be failures to our children?
