| Dear
Project Read, Hi my name is Iris Barnett. I want to thank you for letting me be in your program throughout the years. You’ve been a great help. I would especially like to thank my teacher Vivian for all the things she’s helped me do and all the things she will help me do in the future. My tutor and I were persuaded to speak in front of a group of new tutors that we didn’t even know. It took a lot of courage for me to stand up there. Afterwards all the tutors sent me fan mail. I was so overwhelmed to see all those letters, I nearly cried. I read them all. And just so I don’t miss anyone, I want to say their names. Thanks to Maria, Jack, Adrienne, Sharon, Heather, and Lynne. I also want to thank the person who gave me the opportunity to go to the computer lab and to learn about computers because I’m really benefiting from it. His name is Brian. Well, in due time I will learn to speak what I feel freely without being afraid. It took courage for me to stand up in front of so many people. I thank God for that. |
