Project Read
NEWS
Email Announcements

For more than a year, we’ve been sending announcements about workshops and classes via email to all tutors and learners who have email addresses. We mail printed announcements to all learners, tutors without email, and tutors who prefer paper.
We address email using BCC (blind carbon copy), which hides each recipient’s address from everyone else on the list. Unfortunately, Project Read messages may be interpreted as spam mail by email services and then dumped into special bulk mail folders created to protect their users from spam or junk mail. If your service does offer spam protection, please check the message headings and addresses before deleting them. We clearly designate all announcements by including Project Read in the Sender and/or Subject fields.
If you are not receiving messages via email and would like to, contact us at projectread@sfpl.org or phone us at (415) 557-4388.

Online Calendar

The monthly calendar is now online, showing all classes and workshops for Project Read learners and tutors. You can print the calendar on one 8½ by 11 inch sheet of paper. To view it, visit: www.projectreadsf.org/calendar.html.

Summer Festivals

The summer season of festivals and street fairs is upon us once again. As always, Project Read is looking forward to being a part of these neighborhood festivities. This is an important part of our outreach efforts. We are always on the lookout for additional opportunities to promote Project Read services. If you know of any new or not so well known festivals or street fairs, please let us know. We are also looking for tutors and learners who can volunteer to help Project Read present exhibits at these festivals. If you have information on street fairs, or if you want to volunteer, please contact us at projectread@sfpl.org or call Leon at (415) 557-4388.
