Project Read
Computer Learning Lab

Familiy Computer Lab
We put on a fun-loving and educational computer class one Saturday morning each month for members of the Project Read Families for Literacy Program. Parents, children, tutors, and staff have been eating tasty food and having a great time using programs like Ultimate Phonics, Spell it Deluxe, Magic School Bus, Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo, and Arthur’s Kindergarten. If you can’t attend these computer labs (or other family workshops) during our scheduled times, then give us a call at 557-4388 and we’ll make a special session just for you.

Adult Learner Lab
Did you know that our easy-to-use computer lab is available to all Project Read learners who attend our introduction to computer classes? We hold these classes 4 times a week:
    • Tuesday: 5:30-7:30 pm
    • Wednesday: 5:30-7:30 pm
    • Thursday: 5:30-7:30 pm
    • Saturday: 11:00 am-3:00 pm
You don’t need to know anything about using computers to start. Our patient and friendly staff and lab tutors will show you fun and easy ways to use computers to improve your reading, writing, spelling, and phonics skills. We even have a program that will read aloud to you. Come on by. Bring your tutor if you can.
