My Dream Trip To India
by Wonderful Wright

Wonderful in India
Wonderful is in the center wearing sunglasses

I went to Mount Abu on a spiritual pilgrimage for three weeks. I flew across the world, from San Francisco to Frankfurt to Bombay. We took the train from Bombay to Mount Abu. On the train we had our own section. We stayed on the train for one night and a half. From there we took a bus. We arrived in the evening, so we weren’t jet lagged. We went to bed.
My itinerary was to meditate at 4 a.m. and then go to one of many good classes called “How to be Unaffected by Negativity,” and do yoga from the moment I arrived. I also worked in the kitchen and did service. I chopped vegetables and I served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The people were so beautiful-caring, sharing and loving.
The most exciting part was when I did service for the children. There was a new school built for the children and the community in front of the Raj Rushi where we stayed.
The most thrilling part was when I went down Mount Abu to see the Dadis. They’re the women who are head of the organization Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University.
Just knowing that people love and care about me, I know dreams can come true. I took this trip because I wanted to be one with God.
To my sweet, sweet Baba, the beloved one OM SHANTI.

How We Spent Our Summer Vacation
by Jesse G.

Mazatlán

This summer we visited Mazatlán, Mexico. We had a lot of fun. It was humid but cloudy most of the time. The resort was on the beach so we got to play a lot of games such as volleyball and other outdoor sports. We took walks along the beach at sunset. The people were very nice and very curious about us. It was fun watching them watch us. They say the best beer in Mexico is called Pacifico and is made in Mazatlán. We took a liking to it. We purchased some after we returned home but it was not the same. We ate out most of the time. If you get a chance to visit Mazatlán, check out the No Name Café—good food and great Margaritas.
