The story up to now:
Daisy, Cuddle's sister, has been kidnapped by a big black crow. While searching for her, Cuddles met Zipper the fly who has joined Cuddles to find Daisy.

Zipper and Cuddles decided to split up because nightfall would soon be here. They figured they could cover more ground.
Zipper came across a crow’s nest in a tree and found Daisy trapped under a twig. Zipper tried everything he could to move the twig. The twig was so heavy it was impossible for Zipper to move it and Cuddles was nowhere to be found to help. Zipper could not leave Daisy alone for fear that the crow might come back.
Zipper noticed that there was a colony of ants living in the tree. Zipper thought if only he could get one of the ants to relay a message back to Cuddles that he found Daisy trapped under a twig and he must hurry to come help.
Daisy under the twig with the ants
Soon after that, Cuddles had arrived at the tree. He climbed to the top of the tree where Daisy and Zipper were. Still, Zipper and Cuddles could not move the twig to free Daisy. Zipper persuaded the ants to help free Daisy from the twig which had trapped her. Nightfall would soon come upon them and they had to hurry a because the crow would soon return to the nest.
A row of ants on each side of the twig all at once lifted the twig. One of the ants noticed that the crow was returning as Daisy crawled from beneath the twig. Cuddles helped Daisy down from the tree to return home.
