Read It! Green It! Sing It! Swing It! | July 7th
- Location: Bayview Branch Library, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Description: Bring the kids for a fun filled sing- along, move- along, laugh along concert with Children’s music legend, Gary Lapow. Former Disney Channel performer, Gary Lapow has recorded nine CDs for kids and families.

Swazzle Puppets | Juuly 9th
- Location: Richmond Branch Library, 2 p.m.
- Description: Puppet show River Otter Circus for young children and their caregivers. Children of all ages. Space limited; call for reservations.

A Tree- Mendous Telethon | July 11th
- Location: Mission Bay Branch Library, 4 p.m.
- Description: Join Diane Shmiana as she hosts a “telethon” to save the endangered make- believe forest of Fluffaloo. A wacky cast of characters will bring you songs, storytelling, and other serendipitous surprises about Mother Earth. For ages 4 and older.
Dirt and Worms! | July 15th
- Location:Park Branch Library, 1 p.m.
- Description: Nicole from Garden for the Environment will share fun facts about worms and dirt. We will make flower pots and plant seeds.
Insect Discovery Lab | July 17th
- Location: Glen Park Branch Library, 4 p.m.
- Description: Specialist will be bringing live insects for kids to observe and have hands-on time with. Ages 5 and older.
I Scream, You Scream | July 22th
- Location: Park Branch Library, 1 p.m.
- Description: Let’s make some ice cream! We’ll share stories while making ice cream using only our own energy! For grades 3-5. Please bring a pair of mittens, gloves or oven mittens.
Marine Mammal Center | July 23rd
- Location: Sunset Branch Library,10:30 a.m.
- Learn about whales, seals, otters and walruses from a slide show and things to see on display! For ages 6-12 years. Space limited; call for reservations.
Fantastic Trash – Recycle, Reuse, Recreate | July 24th
- Location: Glen Park Branch Library, 3 p.m.
- Description: Please join us for a craft class using found objects and recycled items. Kids will create recycled sculptures made from objects brought or scavenged from home.
Edible Adventures | July 29th
- Location:Ingleside Branch Library, 2 p.m.
- Description: Did you know you can save the earth every single day? All you have to do is choose food that doesn’t hurt soil, animals, or rivers. We’ll explore how important it is to choose many kinds of food, so you’ll see some weird foods we bet you never saw before! For children ages 5-12.
Cardboard Critters | July 29th
- Location: Park Branch Library, 1 p.m.
- Description: Use recycled materials to create your own zoo! For grades K-5
Insect Discovery Lab | July 30th
- Location: Main Library, Second Floor, Fisher’s Children Center, 2 p.m.
- Description: Insects large and small. Learn all about creepy crawlies in this program from the Center for Ecosystem Survival. Call Tim at (415) 557-4554 for reservations.
Wildlife Associates | July 30th
- Location: Mission Branch Library, 3 p.m.
- Description: Wildlife Associates will present Spirit of the Rainforest, and there will be live animals here. For ages 5 and older.
